Award-Winning Pool Builder in Southern Illinois & Southeast Missouri
Jo-Co Pools is honored to be recognized throughout the pool and spa industry for our hard work and dedication to customer satisfaction. We are a member of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, an organization where all members agree to comply with ethical principles and policies. Using the APSP standards, members protect your safety and stay current on the latest requirements to protect your investment. It is an elite group of industry professionals whose membership shows that they are committed to excellence.
Jo-Co Pools remains committed to being a family-owned and operated business that will maintain its high standards for years to come. Besides Joe and Patty, there are currently four other family members who are being trained and groomed to be the next generation of pool professionals. These young professionals undergo many hours of yearly training offered by manufacturers such as Pentair, Coverstar, and Sigura. Recently one of them passed the Certified Pool Maintenance Specialist National Examination.

AWARDS
Gold Medal
In 1994, Jo-Co Pools won its first Gold Medal at the Greater St. Louis Splash Awards. This prestigious award represented us
with the first place in pool construction among entrees within a 150-mile radius of St. Louis. Since that time, Jo-Co Pools has won 9 other Splash Awards.
1996 Pool & Spa Age Magazine
In December of 1996, Joe Cohen, our owner, was chosen as one of the eight Rising Stars of the swimming pool industry in
the nation. Pool and Spa Age Magazine chose Joe over scores of entries. To maintain this level of cutting edge professionalism, our staff regularly attends continuing education classes throughout the country.
Durable Pool Wall
Joe Cohen invented a pool wall called Durable Pool Wall. Jo-Co Pools exclusively uses this wall on all of their pool designs & construction.
Joe obtained a patent for his design in October 2014.
CERTIFICATIONS & AFFILIATIONS
Genesis 3
Joe Cohen has been trained by Genesis 3 Society of Watershape Designers, an international forum for continuing industry
education, as well as creating higher standards for pool and spa design, engineering, and construction. Joe has also taken more than 80 hours of training from the Genesis 3 Design Group. Genesis 3 is a premier leader in watershape education, design, and construction. Joe has successfully taken and passed by examination classes in Basic Fluid Engineering, Basic Pool Construction, and Advanced Watershape Construction.
CPO
Joe Cohen of Jo-Co Pools has completed the internationally recognized Certified Pool/Spa Operator certification program through
the National Swimming Pool Foundation. This comprehensive program provides industry professionals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of daily pool and spa operations.
Carecraft
Joe Cohen of Jo-Co Pools has completed the internationally recognized Certified Pool/Spa Operator certification
program through the National Swimming Pool Foundation. This comprehensive program provides industry professionals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of daily pool and spa operations. Carecraft members include some of the most respected pool professionals in the industry. Only select builders, retailers, and service companies are invited to join after a rigorous evaluation of their quality control, reputation, customer service, and professionalism. When customers choose a Carecraft member as their builder, they know they are getting the finest workmanship, customer service, and products that the industry has to offer.
